To increase the desire for this two-day Lisbon tour from Porto, let’s leave some curiosities about Lisbon:
Did you know that in the underground of Lisbon there are Roman Galleries, more specifically in Baixa and that they are only open to the public for 3 days during all year around.
The symbol of the city has been a crow since 1793, because these birds escorted the body of Saint Vicente to the burial site, for this reason all the coal merchants in the city adopted a crow as a pet and all were named after Vincent.
The Sao Simao library next to the Saint George Castle, with only 3.8 square meters, is one of the smallest in the world, but even so it has more than 4,000 books inside, given its size only two people enter at a time.
Masonry was present in the reconstruction of Lisbon, more precisely the Baixa with 7 streets, 3 squares and a triumphal arch.
The trams, also called “electric” or “American”, undoubtedly one of the great tourist attractions of Lisbon, even though it is a public transport, is very popular with those who come to tourism.
On this day we leave Porto early in the morning, directly to Lisbon, after about 3 hours of travel, we started our tour.
The Lisbon Downtown ( Baixa de Lisboa ) the most destroyed neighborhood with the 1755 earthquake that devastated practically the whole of Lisbon, and ended up causing immense changes, in the society and in the architecture itself, with the Pombaline architecture buildings were built in a completely different way.
Wider streets and squares, anticipating a new earthquake all by the hands of Marquis de Pombal, the person responsible for the reconstruction of Lisbon and other economic and social changes.
Going up to Alfama we will visit the Lisbon Cathedral its Romanesque architecture makes no one indifferent, built in the 12th century, as well as the Saint Antony Church this Portuguese matchmaker, in Alfama, our days the neighborhood its closed to traffic just only residents can enter with there vehicles, if you wish you can take a walk and let yourself be enchanted by its alleys in this ancient Arabian Medina.
Crossing Avenida da Liberdade until we reach Marquis de Pombal square where we will stop next to Parque Eduardo VII and try to understand the relationship and treaties between Portugal and England and the importance of this relationship in the future of Brazil and enjoy its fantastic view.
After lunch our day continues on to Belem, an authentic open book, mainly during the period of Portuguese maritime expansion, place of the old shipyards and ports of Lisbon, from here brave Portuguese explorers in the 15th century discovering the sea routes for India, Africa and Brazil, celebrating this glorious past, financed by the vast wealth that flowed to Portugal from the colonies.
Then visit these three important Monuments; Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery and the Explorers Monument the last stop will be at the Belem egg custard tarts pastry factory, to taste this fabulous conventual pastry that attracts millions of people every year.
We must visit the Nations Park, where in 1998 Lisbon hosted Expo 98, inspired by the glory of the Portuguese (maritime expansion), with its bold but also functional architecture, to get to know the great work Calatrava, the same one that designed the Museum of Tomorrow in Brazil.
A modern Lisbon, where public transport works, has simplified what has greatly improved access to the center of Lisbon, in addition to the offices of many of the national and international companies.
On the second day, we will return to Porto, but on the way we will make some stops for sightseeing, among; Tomar, Obidos, Fatima, Nazare, Coimbra, Aveiro (we suggest a maximum of 3 to not exceed the estimated time).

Here are buried Guladim Pais, founder of the city, and other Grand Masters of the Order, a Church that seems smaller than it really is since it is buried two meters below the ground.
The construction of the Convento de Cristo begins with the Templar Castle, at the forefront of medieval military architecture from the same period, the Romanesque Charola, inspired by the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and which assumed the dual role of oratory and military watchman. When the Military Order of the Temple was extinguished, the Portuguese King Dinis, created in Portugal the Military Order of Christ, who came to be heir to the goods, graces and privileges that had belonged to the Templars.

√ Nazare
The most charismatic fishing village in Portugal, where we can see the drought of the fish on the beach, as well as the life of the “seven skirts” ladies proudly shown by themselves. Today Nazare is known for its giant waves, yes the biggest waves in the world are here in Portugal.
