Itineraries

Day 1:
Departure from your hotel in Lisbon

For this specific tour, we highly recommend starting at 09:00 AM. If you prefer to adjust the departure time to better suit your travel plans, please contact our support team.

Day 2:
Sanctuary of Fátima

Starting our incredible journey our first stop is Fátima, one of the most important Marian Sanctuaries in the world. We pay homage to Our Lady at the Cova da Iria, visiting the two Basilicas – Our Lady of the Rosary and the Most Holy Trinity, as well as the original Chapel of the Apparitions.
The Chapel of the Apparitions, central to the Sanctuary, is a must-see for its significance, not just its grandeur. At one end, the neobaroque Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, built in 1928, houses the tombs of the shepherd children Francisco, Jacinta, and Sister Lúcia. On the other side, the imposing Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, completed in 2007 and designed by architect Alexandros Tombazis, is colossal, with more than 8,000 seats and 40,000 square meters.

Day 3:
Batalha Monastery

After the emotional celebration of the Mass, our journey continues to the Batalha Monastery, a magnificent example of Gothic architecture in Portugal. Built in the 14th century to commemorate the victory at the Battle of Aljubarrota, this monument stands as a powerful testament to Portugal’s independence from Spain. From late Gothic to Manueline style, every architectural detail tells a story of mastery and history. In the Unfinished Chapels, we are guided through the grandeur and symbolism that reveal the rich heritage of the Dominican friars. This visit offers a profound and engaging understanding of this important chapter in Portuguese history.

Day 4:
Nazaré Fishing Village

Now we explore the captivating coastal town of Nazaré, widely regarded as the most traditional and charismatic fishing village in Portugal. Here, you will witness the historic practice of sun-drying fish right on the beach and admire the iconic “ladies of the seven skirts” who proudly keep local folklore alive.

Beyond its deep-rooted traditions, Nazaré has gained global fame for its legendary giant waves, a natural phenomenon created by the extraordinary underwater Nazaré Canyon. It was here that big-wave surfing history was made when pioneering surfers broke world records on waves reaching nearly 30 meters high. Depending on the season, you may have the unique opportunity to witness these awe-inspiring waves firsthand, showcasing the raw grandeur of Portugal’s Atlantic coast. Nazare can be the place for our lunch.

Day 5:
Obidos Medieval Village

In Óbidos, a UNESCO World Heritage site, we travel back to the Middle Ages, walking through charming narrow streets. Once a Templar defensive stronghold and a wedding gift from King Dinis to Queen Isabel, the village became part of the Queens’ Estate. Queen Catherine contributed to the construction of an aqueduct and fountains. During this journey, we also explore the famous ginja of Óbidos, inviting a delightful experience. From here we return to Lisbon ( one hour ).
