The moving Chapel of the Apparitions and the impressive Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, housing the tombs of the shepherd children and Sister Lúcia, are deeply touching destinations.

At the Candelária, light a symbolic candle. Across from it, the modern Basilica of the Holy Trinity, designed by architect Alexandro Tombazis, amazes visitors with its capacity of over 8,000 seats. Book now and experience the spirituality of Fátima, uniquely connecting the past and present.

Day 2:
Casas dos Pastorinhos

Just 3 kilometers from Fátima lies Valinhos, the modest village where the children lived during the 1917 apparitions. As you explore this site, immerse yourself in the humble lives of the local families and gain insight into the hardships they faced at the time. Francisco and Jacinta, the brave siblings, later succumbed to the Spanish flu, highlighting the fragility of life amidst the extraordinary apparitions at Fátima. Valinhos, a silent witness to history, offers a touching glimpse into this pivotal moment in time.

Day 3:
Lunch

On such a special day, we recommend a memorable culinary experience at Tia Alice Restaurant in Fátima (not included in the price), widely regarded as one of the best in Portugal. This family-run gem, led by the remarkable Tia Alice, offers a small but carefully curated menu where every dish is a culinary masterpiece. Highlights include Bacalhau Gratinado (Gratinated Cod), Arroz de Marisco (Seafood Rice), Vitela (Veal), and Arroz de Pato (Duck Rice). If you’re lucky, you may even have the honor of meeting Tia Alice herself, an 83-year-old chef who continues to shine in the kitchen. This is a unique opportunity to savor authentic Portuguese cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. (Reservations are very difficult to secure).

Day 4:
Óbidos

After a memorable lunch, we will explore Óbidos, a medieval village seemingly frozen in time. Its imposing walls transport us back to the Middle Ages, where our imaginations wander amidst knights and princesses.

During the Templar era, Óbidos played a crucial role in the defensive pentagon of five castles, thanks to its strategic location near the sea and a freshwater lagoon. A wedding gift from King D. Dinis to Queen Isabel, Óbidos became part of the House of Queens. These royal women, funded by local taxes, left a lasting legacy, such as the aqueduct and fountains commissioned by Queen Catarina.

The experience culminates with the tasting of the famous ginja de Óbidos, a light and unique liqueur made from ginja, a type of wild cherry. Discover the charm of Óbidos, where history, architecture, and flavors intertwine in a magical way.
