At a glance
Do these stops suit your day?
They suit a day built around distinct highlights rather than long visits at every stop. The private tour brings together Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré and Óbidos.
A good fit when
Think carefully when
Sanctuary and heritage
Give the sanctuary a clear place in the plan
The Shrine of Fátima describes the Chapel of the Apparitions as the heart of the sanctuary. That makes Fátima a meaningful stop for visitors interested in its religious history and setting.
The Walkborder route also includes Batalha Monastery alongside Fátima, Nazaré and Óbidos. Admission and time at each stop depend on the agreed programme; naming an attraction does not mean that entry is included. For current visitor information, consult the Shrine’s official guide to the places of the apparitions.

Before you confirm
Atlantic coast
Choose between the beach and the Sítio viewpoint
Nazaré combines a long beach and fishing traditions with the Sítio headland above the coast. VisitPortugal describes reaching Sítio on foot or by funicular and points visitors to local information for its current hours.
For a focused stop, decide whether the beach, a coastal viewpoint or local food matters most to you. The famous surf is dependent on sea conditions, so it should not be treated as a guaranteed sight. Check current funicular information with the municipality and agree the intended stop with the tour operator.

Walled town
Leave room for a walk through Óbidos
Óbidos offers a different kind of visit: a medieval walled town, a castle and a maze of streets lined with white houses. It is best approached as time to walk and look around, rather than as a quick photo stop.
Plan for the route your group can comfortably manage. VisitPortugal notes that the car park is outside the old town and that the railway station is beyond the walls, with an uphill walk to the castle area. Confirm where the tour will stop and what walking is involved before setting off.

Make the day work for you
Choose priorities before counting stops
Decide whether the sanctuary, the coast or the walled town matters most, then allow enough time for the visit style you want. The route combines four places, including Batalha, so prioritising the experiences that interest you helps keep the day realistic.
